Once upon a time, a 10th grader walked into my photography studio with an interest in photography. Her mom and dad brought her in just to ask me a few questions. From then, Mackenzie frequently came to sessions to shadow me and be my extra set of hands. Her senior year rolled around and we spent an evening walking around York City photographing her senior portraits. Mackenzie definitely has an eye for photography, but she went to college to become a teacher! That’s where she met Jake. As per the maid of honor and best man’s speech, the rest was history 🙂
Mackenzie and Jake planned their November wedding with the hopes of getting married outside, no matter the temperature… and they did! The Stone Mill Inn made for the PERFECT fall wedding backdrop. We might’ve had goosebumps, but it was so so worth it! My favorite part of the day was when Mack and Jake quietly shared their personal vows to each other. I wish I could share every picture from that moment with you because the bridesmaids AND groomsmen were all in tears– I know those words had to be so, so sweet <3
To say it was a blessing to photograph this day would be an understatement. I am so thankful for Mackenzie and her entire family, Jake and his family (it was only my first time meeting them but I really appreciate Mr + Mrs Rice’s dance moves!), and the amazing vendor team that made this day come together!
Enjoy my favs <3
