Elf on the Shelf
It’s that time of year again and unlike many, I LOVE ELF ON THE SHELF! I seriously think I get a kick out of it more than my daughter! I place the elf perfectly for an awesome photo opportunity every time- I can’t help it!!! I want to make a photo album one day of all these- I think Addie would love it! All of these photos were taken with an iPhone, except the last photo, taken today.
Around here, our elf comes on December 10th instead of the day after Thanksgiving. I think this also helps with my love for Elf on the Shelf.. if I had to move the elf every night for over a month, I might despise it like a lot of parents!! And today is December 10th, our elf has officially arrived!! Her name is Sunflower and Addie was SO EXCITED to see her… until Sunflower FELL OFF THE WINDOW while Addie was saying goodbye to her!!!! My heart sank thinking I just ruined this magical experience for her. I’ll check another idea off the list for today because I had to move Sunflower again- dang it! PSA: the Christmas bow idea is NOT a good one… make sure to add additional tape so the bows can hold the elf’s weight if you decide to try it.
My ideas are not original by any means, but with 15 days left until Christmas I wanted to create this blog post to maybe give some inspiration to keep going (aka survive) the next few nights!! Enjoy!!
