Once upon a time there was a pretty blonde haired girl dancing the night away at a wedding I was photographing. Fast-forward a few years and I get an email from said girl, telling me that she’s known she wanted me to be her wedding photographer since that wedding a few years ago. I was available for her day so we signed the contract and made plans for their engagement session. I knew I liked Annette based off of her first email (who doesn’t love such kind words?!), but after meeting her and Tyler at their engagement session, I knew this was going to a wonderful friendship.
As we hopped around from field to field at their engagement session, we learned about each other and laughed a lot. We chased the sunset and they ended their session dancing in a soy bean field that was drenched in golden light. The entire session from start to finish was a photographers dream.
Their wedding was a dream, too, and once again we ended their portraits with the most beautiful golden hour light. My favorite part of their wedding day was their ceremony when the Pastor held up three arrows and proceeded to tell everyone that Annette shoots bigger buck than Tyler- haha! Go girl! 10/10 day, all around!
Throughout this gallery you’ll see a mix of digital and film images, can you tell which is which?!
Annette and Tyler, thank you for being so wonderful to work with! Enjoy some of my favorite images <3
