The Matthews Family
I am so excited to share the first half of the Matthews’ family Watch Me Grow collection! Sarah and Jordan first stepped in front of my camera for their engagement session over 7 years ago. Since then we’ve added their wedding and 6 more sessions to our list 🙂 Next time I see them will be for Riley’s sitter session, when she’s about 7 months old and sitting up well on her own, followed by her first birthday session with the whole fam! And then the 2nd Matthews baby will retire from my Watch Me Grow collection!!! I’m not crying, I’m not crying…
Over the past 2 months, I’ve gotten to see them twice! We started off with their maternity session and the first thing sweet Grady asked for when we got to Highpoint was Addie. Film photography is something additional I offer to my clients and Sarah was interested… all of the color images from the maternity session were shot on film! When I say film, I mean like the old school way our parents used to take our photos… film like you’d find in a disposable camera (except I use a professional quality film), not film like a video or movie.
The weather was calling for some warmth and sunshine for our December maternity session, but it ended up being cold and windy. We survived and were reminded that there was snow on the ground for Sarah and Jordan’s engagement session!
A few weeks later the Matthews welcomed me into their home again for our 2nd newborn session together. This time with sweet Riley, a beautiful baby girl. Watching them work as a party of 4 was so awesome. We laughed and played as we captured some sweet moments in the special place they brought both their babies home to <3
